Iryna and Mike

Iryna and Mike are such a beautiful couple! These two have actually been married for a couple months now, but didn’t get the chance to have a big wedding. Iryna moved to the US from Ukraine just before she and Mike got married. Documentation and paperwork has been a long process for Iryna, but being married to her best friend is worth it! Their ceremony was very small and intimate and they weren’t able to get photographs during it, so it was an honor to capture these newlyweds!
We had planned to meet at Maymont, but soon after arriving, I found out they were closing the park early for a private event. Then my phone suddenly wasn’t working, so I was a little nervous about how I would communicate with Iryna and Mike. Luckily we found each other, but had to pick a new location quickly before the sun disappeared. Although we were a little bummed to have to move the session, Iryna and Mike were understanding and flexible when we had to change plans. We chose to meet at the Canal Walk, which ended up being the perfect spot for this session. By the time we had parked, we had just enough time left to get some great images. I’m excited for you to see them!
