The Garabelli Family
Maymont - Richmond, Virginia
I can't believe it's already December! This year has flown by so fast. I was fully expecting to be surrounded by plenty of other people and photographers at this Maymont session because the weather was so nice out, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the park was almost empty. I met Veronica, Clay, and Stella in the Japanese Garden, and there was hardly anyone there!
Veronica and Clay are such a joyful and easy-going couple. They’ve known each other since college and have been together since their junior year. Since graduating, they have experienced so much growth both individually and as a couple. They’ve had successful careers, lived in different places, traveled together, and so much more. They married just a couple of years ago and have since grown their family to include sweet Stella, who has the cutest little cheeks!
Stella is only four months old, so it’s hard to tell what her personality is like just yet. But with parents like Veronica and Clay, I know she will be so sweet and fun. They are so friendly and personable, and I loved every moment of getting to know them. As an introvert, it’s sometimes difficult for me to really get to know my clients by the end of a session, especially the shorter ones. However, at the end of this session, I had the opportunity to have a long conversation with Veronica and Clay as we walked the long way around the park to exit. Plus, Veronica is a journalism professor, so she was a pro at asking me all the questions -- she helped make our conversations flow so effortlessly! I feel like we became close friends during our short time together!
Veronica and Clay, thank you for spending an evening with me and allowing me to capture your beautiful family! I had so much fun with you and I can’t wait for you to see some of my favorite photos from our time together.
