San Felasco Park Family Session - The Kaminskis

The Kaminski family was a BLAST to work with! Even from our very first email interaction, I knew Jane and her family were going to be such a pleasant, loving, and fun family to be around. And with two current Gators in the family, how could I not get along with them!

Jane and Robert have been married for almost 23 years, and it was so clear that they have a strong, healthy, meaningful relationship. The way they laugh with each other and the way they interact with their kids was a strong witness to the beauty of marriage and family life.

Photographing families with older kids or young adults always feels like a peek into my future. It’s hard to imagine that my sweet little toddlers will look, speak, and act so much differently as they get bigger, and I know it will happen too fast. I’m reminded often that the days are short but the years are long, so I try my best to soak it all in before they grow up. I can only hope and pray that my kids have a strong relationship with my husband and I after they are grown and leave our home.

Going into the session, I was honestly a little nervous. Jane mentioned to me that they typically take professional family photos every year with the same photographer, so I felt extra pressure to give them an amazing experience. They are used to being in front of the camera so I wasn’t sure exactly what they would expect from me. But they were so cooperative, easy-going, and helpful, and the whole session was stress-free and enjoyable for everyone!

Kaminski family, thank you for making this session so amazing! It was a nice change of pace from my usual family sessions with little kids, which usually take a lot more effort from me to get everyone smiling at the camera! I really enjoyed getting to know you and I’m excited for you to go on that cruise soon!
