Thomas Center Family Session

In the picturesque city of Gainesville, Florida stands the historic Thomas Center, a charming venue that exudes elegance and beauty. For one small Catholic family, it became the backdrop for a heartwarming photo session that captured their love.

Ashley and Drew, devoted parents, and their sweet daughter Chiara showed up with big smiles and eager eyes. This was their first family session together excluding extended family members, so they were feeling a little nervous but excited. Ashley explained that they had put off taking family photos for many personal reasons, but that they were finally in a place where they felt emotionally ready to capture their family. I am so honored to have been able to help them capture the season they’re in right now!

Chiara seemed shy at the beginning — with a bashful smile, she clung onto her parents, seeking comfort in the unfamiliar setting with an unfamiliar person. However, it didn't take long for her bubbly personality to shine through. As the session progressed, Chiara’s shyness gave way to a radiant enthusiasm, making her an absolute delight to photograph. She was so much fun and her smile was infectious! And what a trooper she was with all the gnats flying around and the humid and sticky air!

In several touching moments, Ashley and Drew sat close together, with Chiara snuggled between them. The genuine warmth and affection in their eyes, and the laughs they shared, spoke volumes about the strong, joyful, and faith-filled family bond they share. The Thomas Center's serene surroundings seemed to embrace them, symbolizing the protection and nurturing they provide for each other.
