Thomas Center Engagement Session

Alyssa and Charlie are one of the most relaxed couples I’ve had the honor of photographing! They are very go-with-the-flow type of people, and don’t seem to stress out too much about little things. They met through a dating app while attending UF, so of course, being fellow Gator grads make them even more amazing. The way Alyssa laughs at Charlie’s jokes is so pure, and the way Charlie looks at Alyssa with such a loving heart is just the sweetest. The two are getting married this November in Gainesville, but they will be moving to Tennessee, where Charlie is originally from.

The proposal story is simple and sweet, just like them! They went on a bike ride to Paynes Prairie, which isn’t something unusual for the two of them to do together, so Alyssa wasn’t suspecting anything out of the ordinary in that regard. However, the weather was pretty chilly, so it was a little odd that Charlie was so insistent on going. Charlie wasn’t that nervous about proposing, although he knew Alyssa would want a more private proposal, so he was more nervous about a lot of people being around. Luckily, with the dreary weather, not many other people were out and about!

The evening of the engagement session was gorgeous — it wasn’t terribly hot and we had some beautiful glowy light towards the end! The Thomas Center wasn’t crowded at all and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Not to mention, Alyssa and Charlie both looked amazing all dressed up for their session! I can’t wait for their small, intimate wedding at The Laurel Oak Inn later this year — it’s going to be so special!
