8 Popular Poses for UF Grad Photos
I get it — posing can feel unnatural and weird. It’s not like we all have experience with modeling every day. I always feel so clueless when I’m in front of a camera, but luckily I’m much more comfortable directing from behind one. When you have a session with me, I’ll be sure to guide you through exactly where to put your feet, hands, and head during a session so there’s no stiff, awkward posing!
Here are some popular grad photo poses that look great on anyone:
1. THE CLASSIC - donned in full regalia, this classic shot is one that both grads and parents love!
2. THE OVER THE SHOULDER - facing away from the camera but looking back over the shoulder, this shot can be used to show off the stole and/or gown.
3. THE GOWN OFF THE SHOULDERS - this one shows off more of the grad’s outfit while still making it obvious that it’s a grad photo!
4. THE CAP RAISE - with the flat part of the cap facing the camera and the grad facing slightly to the side, this shot is super cute with a leg pop!
5. THE CAP THROW - right after the cap raise, toss the cap into the air to add some movement in your photo!
6. THE CAP HOLD - IN HANDS - I love the way this looks for a classic grad shot with the cap front and center!
7. THE CAP HOLD - ON HEAD - with a slightly tilted head, grab the cap or the tassel with one hand while giggling towards the camera!
8. THE CAP HOLD - IN ARM - swap your textbooks for a grad cap and this pose makes for a simple and cute shot!
There are so many more cute poses for grads, and these are just a few of my favorites. Check out these photos for some more inspiration!
